Our club is located in southwest Florida, USA and proudly serves all of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, and the surrounding communities. As we continue to expand, we are thrilled to welcome new members every day, enriching our community and the joy of pickleball!
Since our inception in 2018, we have proudly served the vibrant pickleball community in Lakewood Ranch, creating a friendly and inclusive environment for players of all ages and skill levels. Our club is a hub of activity, featuring a diverse range of leagues, exciting events, and social gatherings that cater to everyone. Our dedicated team is committed to delivering exceptional leagues and orchestrating fair, competitive gameplay that fosters both skill enhancement and social connections.
Our DUPR Leagues are designed to provide structured and competitive play, thoughtfully addressing the needs of both Captains and Players while adhering to established rules and keeping team costs low.

Lakewood Ranch Pickleball Club Mission: To be the premier Pickleball Club in Lakewood Ranch and Southwest Florida.

Season 2025-26 Club Goals:
- Create more opportunities to play Pickleball.
- Expand Team League play to accommodate and recruit more club members and enthusiasm for pickleball.
- Set up monthly clinics/events for all skill levels.
- Grow participation in our DUPR Club, maintaining a top 1% national ranking.
- Seek out utilization of the new Premier North Campus.
Increase awareness of pickleball and our club
- Market select club logo merchandise for sale to pickleball enthusiasts to create club awareness, while generating revenue to support club activities.
- Encourage club members to wear pickleball logo shirts to LWR Events.
- Offer free introductory clinics, 1st Saturday of month at LWR High School 8:30am, and inexpensive novice/intermediate clinics monthly.
- Solicit local media coverage for club events.
- Solicit business sponsorships.
Grow competitive pickleball in the area
- Host our annual local tournament “Sandhill Classic”.
- Expand League play outside of LWR.
- Host clinics for skill growth at all levels.
Seek public, dedicated pickleball courts in Lakewood Ranch.
- Continue to press Manatee County Park & Rec officials to update the LWR High School Courts and add 24 courts at Premier Sports Campus, providing a Tournament quality complex. DONE!
- Identify and lobby to get pickleball courts lined/painted on underutilized tennis/basketball courts, or open pavement owned by LWR, Schools or SMR.

Club Inception
The Lakewood Ranch Pickleball Club was founded with the vision of creating a dedicated space for pickleball enthusiasts in the area.
2019
First Tournament
We hosted our inaugural tournament, attracting players from across Southwest Florida and setting the stage for future competitive events.
2023
DUPR Club
Launched our DUPR Club to provide better play and more opportunities for all club members while providing DUPR rating updates with all leagues.
2025
League Milestone
The Winter DUPR League surpasses 60 teams participating with over 700 players from throughout Lakewood Ranch.
2026
Website Upgrade
We've enhanced our website and completely transformed our membership system to provide an even better experience for our Club members
