At Lakewood Ranch Pickleball Club, we offer a diverse range of leagues designed to cater to players of all skill levels. Our DUPR leagues are the perfect blend of competition and community, providing an environment where players can improve their skills while enjoying the friendly spirit of the game. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, you'll find a league that suits your pace and passion. Weekday League
This league is perfect for players who are retired, have flexible weekday schedules, or simply have a few hours to enjoy fun and competitive pickleball each week! With divisions for a wide range of skill levels, there’s a place for everyone—from newer players to seasoned competitors. Our league format is built around the DUPR rating system, with doubles team total rating divisions ranging from 5.1 through 9.1. Each week at noon—Women play on Wednesdays and Men play on Thursdays—six players from each team compete in an exciting round-robin format against another team, either at their home courts or at another Lakewood Ranch area community. Get ready for great competition, team camaraderie, and the excitement of representing your community while competing for the win!
* The DUPR 9 division offers greater flexibility to schedule matches when it works best for the teams, along with smaller roster requirements. Our goal is to give even more players that awesome feeling of fun, fair, and competitive play we all love.
Saturday League
This League is designed for everyone, including players with busy weekday schedules! Every other Saturday, players from your community will come together to form teams featuring both men and women and compete against teams from other communities. Matches will include gender doubles, mixed doubles, and the exciting Picklebreaker—a special format used to decide tied matches. The league is structured around DUPR ratings to promote balanced and competitive play. With multiple divisions based on combined doubles DUPR ratings of under 6.1, 7.1, and 8.1, players of varying skill levels can find the right level of competition while representing their community in a fun and exciting team environment.
PrimeTime League (New)
Introducing the LWR Pickleball Club 65+ PrimeTime DUPR League, designed specifically for seasoned players who have the skill, but want a more level playing field. If you’re tired of "track star" opponents getting to every ball simply because of a birth certificate, this is the league you’ve been searching for. Age-based on Dec. 31, 2026.
We are initially launching with two distinct divisions (for both men and women) to ensure competitive, balanced matches using the new DUPR "65+ age-based" rating:
- Division PT 7: 2.7 - 3.899 (Team Rating Max = 7.1)
- Division PT 9: 3.4 - 4.999 (Team Rating Max = 9.1)
How It Works

Format: Each week, two lines (two doubles teams) will represent their squad in match play against other teams within the Lakewood Ranch area. If there's a tie at the end we're going to the Picklebreaker!

Location: We aim to organize by community. Your Captain's neighborhood will be your "Home Court." If more players are needed, communities can reach out to other communities to create a combined team under a designated Captain.

Since this is our inaugural season, we are looking for leaders to help grow this league. If you’re organized and passionate about the game, we need you to step up as a Team Captain. We'll be there for you every step of the way if you need any help. Contact us to let us know you'd like to start a team!
How Do I Join a League?
Joining our Leagues, whether on weekdays or Saturdays, is a breeze and centered around community spirit. If you live in an area with pickleball courts, chances are there's a dedicated coordinator for the activity. Don't hesitate to reach out to them or connect with fellow players in your neighborhood to find the right contact. If you can't locate that person, or if your community doesn't have a team yet, just get in touch with us, and we'll do our best to connect you with the right individual.
League fees cover administrative coordination, scheduling, DUPR rating services, and league operations. They do not include court access or admission to any facility. Court time is arranged and paid for independently by team captains and players.
